KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the payrolls are accurately and timely processed for all EMEA regions and to partner with HR Generalist, HR Business Partners, Accounting, and contracted local payroll providers. Secondly, this position is expected to provide superior customer service to all levels of staff, and external vendors by responding to inquiries on a timely basis and in a professional manner. Other duties include (but are not limited to):
· Review and control the production and disbursement of the payrolls.
· Ensure payroll is produced accurately, timely and securely, providing back-up as necessary (hands on processing).
· Ensure bonuses and commission processing are accurate and timely.
· Review and approve off-cycle payments as needed for terminations or other special payments.
· Prepare and audit data for reporting requirements.
· Conduct review of tax and other filings prepared by payroll vendors to ensure accuracy.
· Audit tax agency notices and reconcile tax agency refund checks or bank credits to Payroll adjustments/adjustments done.
· Ensure all mobility transactions are captured and processed accurately and timely as required by the jurisdictions.
· Assist Payroll Accountant(s) in resolving reconciling items on the payroll general ledger accounts.
· Participate and/or lead project work as needed to support business process improvements, process changes, interfaces, etc.
· Provide feedback to the payroll director regarding workflow, employee issues/concerns and progress.
· Support other region payrolls as needed (NORTH AMERICA, LATAM and APAC)
· Document and update SOP and workflows.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll operations, data integrity, and reporting capabilities.
· Responds to technical payroll questions, explain policies and procedures, and resolved issues using ServiceNow.
· Support both internal and external audit requirements for payroll.
· Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the payroll function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES *REQUIRED*:
· Possess a clear understanding of payroll procedures, pension plans, tax regulations and jurisdiction requirements for all EMEA countries in which staff are paid.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to clearly communicate detailed deadlines and process.
· Ability to lead and coach team members.
· Excellent organizational, time management skills, and analytical skills.
· Strong project management skills to ensure special off-cycle payrolls and projects/implementations are completed successfully.
· Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Must display initiative and proactive problem-solving skills.
· Ability to be flexible with the work schedule to accommodate changing priorities and payroll deadline requirements.
· Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance.
· Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce is a must.
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION *PREFERRED*:
· At least 8 years of payroll experience in EMEA with specific expertise in handling complex payroll processes ensuring compliance across multiple countries in EMEA.
